    • A scanned photo of the applicant’s passport photo. Please take note that it should be white background, no glasses, and no smile to avoid disapproval.
    • A scanned photo of the applicant’s passport data page.
  • Fill the online Vietnam e-visa application form and upload the scanned documents above.
  • Pay the e-visa fee of USD 25 online by credit or debit cards. Please bear in mind that this fee is non-refundable even if your application is refused.
  • Once successfully submitting the application, you will receive a registration code to help you check your visa status in the e-visa search menu
  • You will receive the e-visa result after approximately 3 days. If your e-visa is approved, print it out to enter Vietnam.

A quick reminder that you can also request a travel agency in Vietnam to apply for a Vietnam e-visa on your behalf. However, please check carefully whether the agency is legit. There have been many reports of people being scammed in the application process and got their personal data stolen.

The Vietnam e-visa is a great alternative to the conventional way of applying for a visa through the embassy. The only main drawback is that its validity is rather short. Nevertheless, a Vietnam e-visa is the perfect go-to for foreigners entering Vietnam for a short duration of stay.

In case you want to have a Vietnam visa with longer validity, while still being able to apply online with a short processing time, consider applying for Vietnam Visa On Arrival
